IMS offers a tool that lets you recover your E-Sign-On (ESO) Password in the event that it is forgotten. Rather than sending your forgotten ESO password, the recover tool lets you create a new password. To recover your ESO password:

  1. Type your UPMC E-Sign-On Account name in the UPMC E-Sign-On Account field and click Continue. (Your ESO ID is the ID you supply when logging into MyHub.)
  2. Use the drop-down menus to select your Date of Birth.
  3. Select an Authorization Method. This will be either a Challenge/Response question or a personal ID number, depending on how your IMS preferences are set.
  4. Click the Choose Auth. method button.
  5. Depending on the selection you made for step 3, you will have to supply either a personal ID number, or a response to your challenge question.
  6. Click Authenticate.
  7. Type a new password in the New UPMC E-Sign-On Password field. Type the password again in the Confirm New Password field.
  8. Click Change.
  9. You will receive a message confirming that your ESO password was changed.
